Common questions
My TSH is normal, but I still don't feel well. Can you help?
This is one of the most common reasons people reach out. TSH is only one part of the picture. A fuller evaluation also looks at Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies. Your discovery call is a good time to go over your past labs and talk about whether a more complete evaluation makes sense.
I have Hashimoto's. What does your approach look like?
Hashimoto's is one of the conditions we work with most. We run a full 9-marker thyroid panel, including TPO and thyroglobulin antibodies, then look at factors that may influence autoimmune activity, such as gut health, nutrient status, food sensitivities, and stress. Results vary from person to person.
Will I have to stop my thyroid medication?
No. We never advise stopping thyroid medication without your prescribing doctor's guidance. Our approach works alongside your current medication, and any medication changes are decided with your prescriber.
Do you work with thyroid nodules, goiter, or cysts?
Yes. We work alongside your imaging and your endocrinologist or primary care doctor, looking at thyroid function, antibodies, and related factors. We don't replace imaging, biopsy, or specialist monitoring when those are needed.
What happens on the $47 discovery call?
It's a 30-minute telehealth conversation. You'll share your symptoms, history, and any labs you have. We'll explain our approach and tell you honestly whether we're a good fit. If we're not, we'll point you in a better direction.
I'm not near Dunedin. Can I still work with you?
Yes. Discovery calls are done by telehealth, and ongoing thyroid care is available by telehealth anywhere in Florida. We'll go over lab options on your call, including labs your own doctor can order, and supplements can be shipped to your door.
Do you take insurance?
We're a cash-based practice, which lets us spend more time with each patient. We'll go over costs and lab options on your discovery call so there are no surprises.
How long until I might notice changes?
It varies a lot from person to person. Some people notice changes within several weeks, while for others it takes several months. We'll talk about realistic expectations for your situation on your call.
